Ingredients
- ground beef – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- pork fat – 100 g / 0.22 lbs
- onion – 1 large, finely chopped
- fresh cilantro – 1/2 cup / 10 g, chopped
- fresh parsley – 1/2 cup / 10 g, chopped
- fenugreek – 1 tsp / 2 g
- ground coriander – 1 tsp / 2 g
- paprika – 1 tsp / 2 g
- ground black pepper – 1/2 tsp / 1 g
- salt – 1 tsp / 5 g
- pomegranate seeds – 1/4 cup / 40 g
- butter – 2 tbsp / 30 g
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef and pork fat until well combined.
- Add chopped onion, cilantro, parsley, fenugreek, ground coriander, paprika, black pepper, and salt to the meat mixture.
- Knead the mixture well for about 5 minutes until everything is well incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into 8 oval patties.
- Press a few pomegranate seeds into each patty for a burst of flavor.
- In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Place the patties in the pan and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot with fresh pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top.
